We were born! Designed by prominent architect Robert Swartburg, The Vagabond initially opened as a motel and restaurant/lounge in 1953. Anyone who was anyone knew our name. The Vagabond quickly gained a reputation as a fabled hangout for Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and the rest of the Rat Pack, who would frequently hobnob with showgirls and perform impromptu renditions on the lounge stage. The lights were brilliant and bright, and through it all The Vagabond maintained a legendary yet laid-back feel as a place for anyone to have a good time.

Fast-forward several decades to the present. The rumors are true. A full property-wide restoration has given its retro-luxe interiors a new outlook on life while managing to remain true to authentic touches and those little details that make a big difference: Friendly eager-to-please staff with oodles of personality. An ideal location near quintessential things to do in Miami. Fabulous dining with a bold twist. Warm tropical weather, luscious landscaping and cold poolside drinks. The only thing that’s missing is you and perhaps a friend or two.

Everyone has their story. We told you ours. Now, what’s yours?
